Born to an Irish-American mother and an Indian-Indonesian father, Marissa grew up in both Indonesia and the United States. Upon completing an engineering degree at Tufts University, Marissa moved to New York to join an investment bank in the summer of 2008. After two years in financial services, Marissa has recently joined the garment manufacturing industry. She is passionate about using business as a vehicle for international development and finding creative ways to empower marginalized people.
